How many passengers can you accommodate?

We offer a combination of both full-sized motorcoaches and mini-coaches which allows us to provide cost-effective transportation for groups from as small as 10 to groups with hundreds of passengers.  Feel free to contact us to discuss your specific needs.

Why should I choose you over another bus company?

The short answer is:  experience.  We're a family business that takes pride in hiring experienced drivers.  In addition, because we are a family-owned and operated business we're small enough to care!  We have the size and experience to handle large groups locally and nationally, but we're small enough that accommodating the unique needs of smaller groups and organizations is important to our bottom line!
 

Why would I use a coach bus instead of a school bus?

School buses are great for hauling large amounts of people for short trips but motorcoaches offer a much more comfortable ride for people going longer distances or wishing to provide a more impressive, professional image.  Motorcoaches usually offer a better view out the windows, plusher seating, additional amenities like VCRs and DVD players and they are generally quieter than a school bus.  Oh yes, and motorcoaches offer air conditioning and bathroom facilities!
 
Who is Minnesota Coaches?

We are a third generation family business that started in 1963.  We run school bus and motorcoach bussing operations from Maple Grove, Minnesota.  We also operate from a terminal in Apple Valley to provide excellent service in both the northern and southern Twin City suburbs.

 
How long have you been in business?

Um...as stated above, since 1963.

 
What kind of buses do you have?

We offer full-sized motorcoaches and mini-coaches (luxury mini-coaches have a maximum of 25 passengers).  For those really picky "bus snobs" out there...we use MCI motorcoaches and Champion mini-Coaches.  We've chosen these buses because of the excellent ride, plush interiors, and their overall design.

Where are you located?

Minnesota Coaches north metro terminal is located at 11800 95th Ave N in Maple Grove, MN.  Check out our Company page for a map to our location.


 
What area do you service?

Local service is available in the great Minneapolis/St. Paul area.  We offer regional and national charters, too.
 
Do you travel out of state?

Yes!  All of our drivers are fully ICC and DOT qualified for interstate travel.  We'd be happy to discuss your plans and help you plan the transportation portion of your itinerary.
 
Do you offer vacation packages/charters for large groups?

Multiple vehicle and/or long distance trips are all within our abilities.  Please contact us for information about regional or national travel.
 
My group doesn't need a full-sized bus, but we can't fit everyone in a van - can you help?

Our 25 passenger mini-coach solves this problem nicely!  Although 25 seats may seem like more space than your group needs, you've love the extra space.  It gives everyone the ability to move around and have plenty of "elbow room".
 
Do your buses have a VCR or DVD player?

Our full-size motorcoaches are equipped with both.  Because they aren't designed for long-range travel, our mini-coaches do not.
 
What about bathroom facilities?

Ditto here, too.  Our full-size coaches offer restroom facilities that allow your group to stay on the road for longer periods without the necessary "bathroom breaks".  Mini-coaches do not have restrooms.
 
Are your drivers knowledgeable about the area we plan to travel?

We've learned over the years how important it is for our drivers to be very knowledgeable about the areas they will be traveling. They are accustomed to reviewing itineraries and maps with the dispatch staff to ensure a smooth trip for your group.  With today's satellite imaging even on national or regional trips our drivers have the ability to review the best places to park and/or how to enter and leave facilities.
 
Can I cancel or reschedule a trip if necessary?

Absolutely!  You may cancel or reschedule your trip within 24 hours prior to your scheduled departure time.  If you need to cancel within 24 hours of departure a nominal cancellation fee will be incurred.
 
Who are some of your past clients?  Can I call them for references?

We have lots of references we would be happy to provide to you.  Unfortunately, many companies prohibit their employees from providing "public" testimonials so we can't provide them here.  Feel free to contact us and we'll be happy to get you in touch with several references!
